have taken their scholars .......................

Almighty Allah Says in The Holy Qur’an, 9:31: “The (Jews and Christians) have taken their scholars and there monks as Lord, protectors besides Allah, and [also] Messiah, the son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.

brought no profit ................................

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem.
[These Letters are one of the Miracles of the Holy Qur’an and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings!]
This is the Book about which there is no doubt, guidance for those conscious of Allah -
Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,
And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].
Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are successful.
Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.
Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.
And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they are not believers.
They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.
In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease, and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.
And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they do not understand it.
And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are foolish, but they do not know it.
And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers."
[But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly.
Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. Source: Al-Qur’an-King-Fahd-Complex. – The Holy Qur’an 2:1-16.
Hadith
(2:3): Al-Ghaib (Unseen): literally means a thing not seen. But this word includes vast meanings: Belief in Allah, Holy Books, Allah’s Messengers, Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Devine Pre-ordainments) It also includes what Allah and His Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa-Sallam) informed about the knowledge of the matters of past, present and future e.g., news about the creation of the heavens and earth, botanical and zoological life, the news about the nations of the past and about Paradise and Hell. Iqamat-as-Salat: The performance of Salat (prayers). It means that: Each and every Muslim, male and female, is obliged to offer his/her Salat regularly five times a day at the specified times; the male in the mosque in the congregation and the female at home.  As the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi WA Sallam has said: “Order your children for Salat at the age of seven and beat them for it at the age of ten.” The chief of a family, town, tribe, etc and the Muslim rulers of a country are held responsible before Allah in case of non-fulfillment of this obligation by the Muslims under their authority.

One must offer the Salat as the Prophet As the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Sallam used to offer them with all their rules and regulations, i.e., standing, bowing, prostrating, sitting, As the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Sallam  has said: “Offer your prayers the way you see me offering them-Shahi Bukhari Vol. 1: No: 604.
